This is the same ingredient as found in the various Bayer tree and shrub protectors, as well as their Advantage flea control products. Because they had this under patent, people are used to paying outrageous prices. This bottle is the equivalent to about $325 worth of Bayer Tree Protector. As Advantage, this bottle would probably be in the neighborhood of a couple of thousand dollars.
This stuff really works. It is also somewhat controversial. It has been implicated (but not proven), in CCD.
I use it as both a soil drench and spray on plants that are loved by Japanese beetles, tent caterpillars, etc. For example, my Redbuds and Hibiscus look great. Japanese beetles won't touch them. Tent caterpillars may hatch out, but they are dead with the first few bites. If you have a tree that's under attack by borers, etc, this product could save it's life.
After their done fruiting, I also spray my Cherry trees and Blackberry bushes, which the beetles would devour otherwise as... Read more

My home had become infested with termites. My fault. The bubbling in my wall paint, the "flying ants" in the spring"; I had no idea. We'd never had termite problems before. Once I realized what was going on, I started spraying foaming termite repellent. Wrong move; they just retreated into the walls. I researched other solutions and found Dominion 2L. It's a non-repellent termiticide, so termites (very social insects)don't know it's fatal. They walk through it, pass it to each other by grooming, and eventually take it back to their nest, where it eventually affects the entire colony. It has a residual effect for 7 years. It's a thick, creamy, white liquid that needs to be diluted with water, and can be sprayed as a liquid or mixed additionally with foaming agent and sprayed as a foam.

When I ordered Dominion, I also ordered foaming agent and a sprayer . I drilled holes in my walls in between the studs and foamed, foamed, foamed. And the termites died, died, died. They... Read more

We have properties in the Smoky Mountains and nearby areas. Imidacloprid does a great job, when injected into the surrounding soil, of protecting hemlocks from from the Wooly Alelgid pest. This generic version works perfectly.
