Product Description

Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (Fossil Shell Flour) has many uses: in the household, with pets, on plants, around livestock, and for stored grain. It is totally organic and listed with OMRI.

With more than 600 deposits of diatomite west of the Mississippi-and only four (to our knowledge) that can be considered food grade-it is very important that people know what they are using. The vast majority of diatomite deposits are impure.



When diatomite is formed, water currents bring in foreign material that mixes with the microscopic diatom shells. This type of diatomite is absolutely without value for practical purposes, but many people tend to think that if it is "Diatomaceous Earth," then it has the same value as other, purer deposits. There are many places where diatomite deposits can be loaded up "for free," but generally this substance has no value. If this impure diatomite is sold for practical usage, the customer may end up with an unpleasant surprise.

I'm moving soon and didn't want to carry any bedbugs with me to my new place. Sealed up my bedroom and set a can off before I left for the office. Results; NADDA one dead bedbug! Had to go to the organic spray I bought from a local store to keep the critters off me while I slept that same night. I was hoping this would eliminate not only the bugs but the eggs as well. The organic spray I used has helped keep the population down but since you cannot see the eggs or the 'baby' bedbugs I was hoping the fogger would take care of that. Didn't do shizt! Do not waste your time on this product as you can see from the reviews here. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for an effective product that does what it states. Clearly the manufacturer needs to go back to R&D with this product. That is the main reason I chose this brand as the others did not kill eggs and larvae. Set up 4 of them in a 1700 ft house. Followed all the instructions. Came back to live fleas in two of the rooms including one that had a fogger in it just feet away from these fleas. I've used foggers in the past and one time did the trick. Box) We were suffering from bedbugs for several months, and I had tried a lot of measures, such as anti-ant spray, anti-bedbug spray, hot air, and this Diatomaceous Earth DE. I found that the most effective way to get rid of bedbugs was bedbug spay plus the DE. The spray I used was hotspot (Hot Shot 96010 Bedbug Killer). Generally, it could give us a two-week bedbug-free break. However, bedbugs came back after two weeks...Than we bough the DE. It seemed that the DE can not kill bedbug immediately, but it provides a longer bedbug-free time (I did saw dehydrated dead bedbugs). We put DE under our bed and coach, and use bedbug spray every two-three weeks. one month later after we use the combination of DE and bedbug spray, we are total bedbug-free!!
