I have a dog, and no matter what I did to try to prevent it, my house would become infested with fleas. I didn't want to give him too much in the way of strong chemicals, but I did use Advantage and similar products, which helped but didn't prevent eventual infestation, especially during rainy times of the year. I bathed him regularly, flea-combed him, used diatomiceous earth on him, didn't matter. Sooner or later, the carpets would be jumping.My vet sold me a can of this. I vacuumed the carpets, sprayed it on the carpets throughout the house and on furniture where the dog lies, and left the house for a few hours. When I came back, I vacuumed again. Within twenty-four hours, the fleas were gone, and they didn't come back for months. The product uses a hormone that supposedly interferes with flea reproduction without harming pets or people.
